Coleman v Sagna

Clubs with do not care obscenely rich owners will always win out. One cannot blame a player for thinking about his pay packet. The career is short unless you are a Liverpool player then all the media companies are queeing for them as commentators.
...queueing... the only word in the English language that has 5 consecutive vowels

...I think Sagna is a terrific player. The fact that he's out of contract means he will demand a tasty signing-on fee and salary. Surprised that City is the destination because Zabelleta is also outstanding. If he was going anywhere in this Country I imagined it would be United. I'm surprised they didn't make a real bid for him, he's quality.
yes...a good player. Better delivery (imo) than Coleman, but in all other departments Coleman is better (imo)

Sagna is going as back up to Zabaleta. If anyone came in offering big money for our players the examples of Lescott, Rodwell and even Fellaini should be enough to make them think twice. And, if they are set on moving, then they're no longer useful to us anyway.

Don't mind that he's left us, already 31 and his attacking from right back has been stale for a while would like a replica of Gibbs on the right, someone with plenty of energy to get up and down the flank no sweat. Jenkinson will probably get a chance.

.....don't disagree, plus Coleman has age on his side, but I think Sagna has been terrific. The key equalising goal in the cup final came because he attacked and won the ball in the box. I'm surprised United or the reds were not knocking on his door.

Sagna going to City for £140k a week..................it really is farcical when the ability to pay of one or two clubs is just so far ahead of the rest. How can we ever have a chance of holding on to Coleman and others when this is the reality? If City had gone for Coleman how could you ever deny the lad the move? I know Sagna has played the 'run down your contract' game to get such an inflated wage but even so a wage anywhere near that would inevitably lead to any full back saying yes please.

And then we get PSG reportedly about to pay £50m for David Louise, someone who wouldn't even get a regular game at Everton. Could we really deny Stones his inevitable move in a few years time when he'd probably be getting his wages quadrupled and the club would be getting £30m+ for him?

FFP is a joke.

EASILY.

"He's not for sale."
