Coleman, midfield or defense?

Didn't wanna start a new thread on this.

But anyway. Coleman - He is not a right mid.

Secondly, he is a defensive liability, he always commits ridiculous fouls like the one today which was costly. So in my eyes, he is not a RB.

So what is he? The answer IMO - not good enough.[/QUOTE]
I've been thinking the same myself for a while. But I may be kneejerking and I hope he proves me wrong.
I think I may have been one of the many who was screaming for Moist to start him at right midfield after his first couple of substitute appearances. I can't remember. So don't pay too much attention to me.

He is a poor rm. if he can be more consistent and solid, he may be a good rb.

Right now, he feels more like a squad player than the bright young player we fell in love with a couple years ago. Seems more like may not ever grow into the player we hoped he would. Just being honest, but I hope I'm wrong.

Don't forget we only picked him up for 60k, I don't really believe he was ever meant to be more than a squad addition, a handy one at that, and suprised a lot of us in his first season. That element of suprise is over now though and I think a lot of teams have worked him out. I imagine the pressure on him to improve isn't helping him mentally either.

He's a championship player at best - if we are to develop and threaten the top four he can't be anywhere near the first XI

Season has been a bit if a write-off for him really, thanks to that prick Marchena. He's not looked good enough at any point this season, but he hasn't really played that much and has had loads of little niggles. I'll not write him off yet, but got my doubts about the lad.

i like the lid, bundles of energy but that free kick was just an appauling decision, could be argued that he was lucky not to get sent off but that would have been wrong. I would love to see him being given a go at RB and if that fails impact sub at best when we have no other options. He doesnt have a good enough end product to be a premier league RM for me. I admire his energy, just went a bit OTT which cost us (sorta). Would love us to have a go at nathanial clyne next season for RB, i know there are better teams than us after him but we can offer him 1st team football from the off, if hes in the sport for money and goes somewhere to sit on the bench then **** him, but why not at least give it a go

Do you really think this would happen under moyes? Hibbo is bout to sign a 20 year contract extension to stay in that spot...

We need someone new at RB, someone with pace, someone like Kyle Walker or something.

As for Coleman - first he was stupid to concede a freekick. But he is a good player, and he is good on the right midfield - he would be very good if he had a decent RB behind him making runs past their left back etc...This season he has been unlucky with injuries, next season hopefully he can improve.

I'm more concerned with the fact that we are going to go into the 2012-2013 season again with a giant gaping hole on the right side. And it's growing at the RB position too.

Now that we have Jelavic, we need to do more this summer transfer season shoring up that right side.

Bargain shopping over the summer.
