Poor decision making by Roberto. He should have done like you said sooner and considered in the last few minutes throwing another forward on.
Been the hallmark of his season, poor subs. As has starting a multiple amount of players on the flanks. It really is an indictment that he's got 4 wingers to choose from for the majority of this season and he's tried to shove non-wingers in those positions. He's lost his nerve there too, when he should be keeping faith with what he envisaged they could do (two brought to the club by him). And going back to the drawing board and making Hibbert and Osman part and parcel of the first team again underlines how conservative he's allowed himself to become.

All shocking developments.

It's all about confidence though. If we get a decent run together he'll hopefully become emboldened again.

Not skilful enough to beat a man without a head start.

Keep him at RB please, one of the best in the league there.

If City had a world class winger/forward on the left in the mold of Ronaldo or Bale you could understand it but it was James Milner ffs.

I think Martinez is in the middle of a crisis of confidence, he needs to shake himself down and get back to the brave forward thinking fella of last season.

TBH he's looked like that at RB for the last few games.
The opposite teams now double up on our attacking full back and our problem is we haven't found a plan b. Colman and Baines look subdued but they are crowded out. We then end up side passing with much more space in the middle. Crying out for a number 10 ti find killer passes. And no not naismith . He has improved so much but is not top 4 material if we wanna challange we need better quality starting 11.

That decision alone playing him there means he doesn't rate the wingers he brought in. Answer = ship em out in Jan and try to bring in others. Astu doesn't look anything near quality. Mc Geady can have his moments and if was fit should have been brought on yesterday.

He's my favourite full back I've ever seen play for everton, more so than Baines tbh because I love his fearlessness, aggression and pace... It's like playing Barkley on the wing, it's not their positions!

Was worth a shot, didn't pay off though.

Pretty much this.

I can see what he was hoping for, with Coleman offering more defensively than the other options and being no mug going forward, but it didn't really work, partly because Seamus is a better right back than a winger and partly because he doesn't look fully fit yet.
