I grew up drinking coffee in Colombia. My grandma used to make café con leche (coffee with milk) when we were kids and gave it to all her grandkids when we visited her, then the family wondered why were acting crazy lol

Now days I just drink hot tea. I like the taste much better than coffee.
Are coffee beans really cheap when living in a coffee bean producing country?

For context, I pay between £7-10 for a 250g bag these days.

I was told in Colombia the actual Colombians don't get access to the best beans because they're all preserved for export. Don't know how that affects prices though

Wow, that's a good bit of money for a bag of coffee.

We do get to purchase coffee beans very cheap but many Colombians don't get to drink the great coffee beans quality as the one that is exported around the world.

You are right. I mean people in Colombia with resources get to drink good coffee if they spent the bucks but most Colombians don't have such a luxury

I have a large coffee every morning sometimes a pint glass.. go for the Kenko not into it enough to buy beans and grind them.. my Ma does makes a nice cup but I don't think it's worth the hassle. Have a few cups of tea during the rest of the day.

Start every day with it. Black. Take it seriously, Iberital grinder, dark roasted beans. None of that flowery stuff, awful.

happy place...
Just buy an aeropress. Better coffee, more portable and easier to clean up.
