Club Everton Hospitality

Absolutely true - but we need to compare the following:

Capacity of corporate entertainment area
Price of corporate entertainment
Number of potential corporate clients
Corporate entertainment budgets of corporate clients

A very good friend of mine has a box at The Emirates - he pays a basic fee of £85,000 per season plus the food and beverage bill, totaling roughly £110,000 . There are more than 150 boxes at the Emirates. That gives a total revenue of more than £16.5 million a year.

Not quite what we are doing at Goodison or indeed would do at Kirkby!

Lets be fair to the situation. Status of corporate luxury at Goodison - Nil.
Price - reflect this problem.
Number - reflects the price.
Corporate 'players' are out there, the PL is still the wealthiest league and a major reason why if rumours are true a Japanese set are being courted.
A friend of mine's father is somewhere on the ladder and gets corp seats at ManU, no idea on the payment, but businesses dont look at 'expenses' that way. Deals are cut all year round, could someone tell the difference between a five star hotel, a top box at the game, and being waited upon hand and foot? Salford or otherwise? I never consult the globe when I am factoring up the experience I have been granted. Football is a money game, time to get on board or suffer. (ManU and their 'treats' for refs. If they can do that, who else are they making feel special?)

I took the opportunity to experience ClubEverton at our last home game against Blackburn.

I had never experienced Everton hospitality so had no idea what to expect, although considering the relatively cheap price (£89 including main stand ticket, or £49 without the ticket) and the venue (the tent outside the ground), its fair to say that I wasn't expecting much.

I was wrong, it was absolutely fantastic. If like me, you've been put off by the tent, have a look inside;

Not only is the venue fantastic, in attendance each week is an Everton legend, Nigel Martyn was in attendance on this occasion, as was Duncan McKenzie - both very approachable - with the latter agreeing to attend a future GrandOldTeam event.

The service was top quality - the "most sound" I've actually ever come across and the 3 course pre-match meal was a lot better than expected.

There was also ongoing entertainment - a quiz that asked "name nine football grounds that have featured in the Premiership but never will again" (Highbury being an example....). Our table won this, winning £25 in free bets :D

All in all, a big hats off to the hospitality team - they've got the balance for Club Everton spot on.

Dan the Mod the Corporate Playa !!!

I always knew you would , kid .

Damn !!!

I suppose we could ask £27 pounds each for the Chips , like they do in London .
It'd be a start .

Everton hospitality

I took my wife in the Club Everton hospitality for the BATE game in December. Before going, I swapped a couple of emails with Tony, who runs it
We got there early (about 5.40pm); it was quite empty and was quickly shown to our table. As per usual I looked at the drinks menu. I noticed it was £3.50 for a pint of Chang or £12 for a 4 pint jug. After about 20 minutes a young waiter finally appeared and I ordered a jug of Chang. 5 minutes later he was back saying they had no jugs and would it be ok in pint glasses. After another 5 minutes he brought the 4 pints (30 minutes waiting for a beer was hard work) and a bill for £14. I asked him about the price, but got no joy.
The food waiter appeared and took our orders for the soup starter, followed by roast lamb. The food soon appeared and it was excellent. We then had to wait about 40 minutes before ordering desert. My wife had ordered the cheese selection and when she picked up a piece of cheese, the piece below it had a bite take out of it (Tom and Jerry style, it was showing the shape of someone’s teeth). I called the waiter and he took it to the kitchen. He then came back and said it wasn’t a bite but a piece broken off! Everyone at the table just laughed at him.
By now I wasn’t in the happiest of moods and went to see if I could see Tony. He wasn’t about, so I had words with the lady in charge, who said it would be investigated.
If you remember it was a freezing cold night and the only thing cheering me up during the 1st half was the promise of a free drink at half time. When I went to get the drinks, I was told by the lady that we had the wrong colour Club Everton badge and were not entitled to drinks.
I seen my arse then and walked out.
As I got outside I bumped into the lady from Club Everton and the poor girl got more moaning off me.
I watched the 2nd half in the Oak, with large brandies quickly thawing, but slowly calming me down. The next morning I emailed Tony, asking him to call me
When he called me back, he had already had a report of what happened and wanted to hear my side. After listening he promised he would investigate further, but because of what had happened he said he would like to offer me 4 Club Everton tickets (including free bar) for a game of my choice.
After speaking to Tony, I decided to have 2 tickets for the Chelsea game and save the other 2 for later in the season. On arriving, we met Tony and were shown to his own table, he was full of apologises. The drinks continually flowed. The starter and main course (fillet steak) were excellent, though we avoided the cheese. Tony was an excellent host, with interesting knowledge of the workings of football clubs in general and Everton in particular (reckons we could be in for some interesting news around Easter).
I was impressed with how Tony dealt with the situation and came away truly believing it was just one of those nights were everything goes wrong.
I will be going back there again as it has a good atmosphere. The guest legends were Joe Royle 1st time and Kevin Sheedy 2nd time

Good to hear it went well second time and that you would go again. I really enjoyed it when I went and I was hoping to book it for me Dads birthday but skint. Will go again at some point though, I reckon it makes the match better.

As sharpy said, would be good to get a few from the site together for it one time.
