Club Everton Hospitality

I took the opportunity to experience ClubEverton at our last home game against Blackburn.

I had never experienced Everton hospitality so had no idea what to expect, although considering the relatively cheap price (£89 including main stand ticket, or £49 without the ticket) and the venue (the tent outside the ground), its fair to say that I wasn't expecting much.

I was wrong, it was absolutely fantastic. If like me, you've been put off by the tent, have a look inside;

Not only is the venue fantastic, in attendance each week is an Everton legend, Nigel Martyn was in attendance on this occasion, as was Duncan McKenzie - both very approachable - with the latter agreeing to attend a future GrandOldTeam event.

The service was top quality - the "most sound" I've actually ever come across and the 3 course pre-match meal was a lot better than expected.

There was also ongoing entertainment - a quiz that asked "name nine football grounds that have featured in the Premiership but never will again" (Highbury being an example....). Our table won this, winning £25 in free bets :D

All in all, a big hats off to the hospitality team - they've got the balance for Club Everton spot on.

You have to give the club their due, they are trying everything to increse corporote revenue. As nice as the tent maybe you have to say its nothing compared to the corporote facilites a lot of clubs offer the price reflects this. Its where the money is really, yet we're limited as things stand.

Lets hope it will be less of an issue in the future - fair play to the club for trying

Just a bit mate - they are utilising anything and everything - so fair play.

Granted, we can't compete with most of the Premiership facility wise, hell, we can't even sell chips in the ground due to restrictions but its great to see we're giving it our best shot with whats available. I mean, I'm getting emails advertising things like Halloween nights at Goodison and constant screenings - normally I don't like plugging stuff from Everton (especially the "Tickets for Stoke are still available....) but its a pleasure to plug Hospitality events like that - long time coming.

I'm quick to question the club on several levels - especially marketing but the hospitality lot can't be faulted for effort.

Well done Everton.

I took mine (not the mrs, bloody Nottingham Forest fan :dodgy::lol:) and he loved it - especially after he managed to get a picture with Duncan McKenzie.

Looking to book again for his Birthday.

We should all get together for a game and do this. Would be a right laugh!!!!

Hope to do that at some point towards the end of the season.

i bet it was a freebie, a sweetener, thats how they got to own si you know.

it does look a decent deal tbh.
duncan mckenzie was one of my first Everton favourites, in fact i got the kit with the long sleeves and the duncan diamonds down them, trackie as well.
'arl fella used to go to same health club as him, apparently someone would mention gordon lee if they wanted entertaining as duncan would go into a right rant, he lives (or lived) at the side of haydock park racecourse and his mrs had a flower shop in Earlstown (may still own it tbh).

Keep to thread though lads - that being Evertons Hospitality. Would be good to hear any other experiences throughout the season.
