Close to the End....

For some reason, it appears I am the Witch on here. Great change of subject though, you are great you.

Well you have to make your choice at around easter time, the club have us all signed up way before the season ends.

So youve forked out for it whether you go or not, as said earlier it was plain to see straight away that we had all spunked in the gutter.

I was not around during the time, but is it as bad or worse than the Johnson era? Really?

Our record over the past few years has been relatively good, yet during the Johnson era we were flirting with relegation.

I am not pro-Kenwright etc.. its just a genuine question.

Weve got a better manager that can work with the constraints.

You could argue if Moyes was in when Johnson was running the ship, the last 10 years may have been the same as kenwrights.

Not quite yet. Feels like we're headed back there at the moment though.

Who the fck r u to tell me I'm not an evertonian I've been following them since my first game in 85-86 when we won the mancs 3-1 at goodison ! That's a feeling I'll never forget and it's the reason I'll always be a blue !

I get to games whenever I can nowadays bcos to be onhest I can't justify spending the cash when I have 3 kids to feed so respect to those who go week in week out but This is a forum for opinions and up until this season I've been proud of the blues under moyes remember the walters squad and Howard's before that? Thing is our expectations are higher theses days which is surely a sign of steady progress! All we need is some investment FFS FFS FFS

Ps. FFS

So respect other peoples opinions without blathering FFS FFS FFS etc.

The people who say he's not a real fan or needs to keep going the games are probably the ones from abroad who don't spend a penny on going to the match and witnessing the absolute dross we serve up through storms and all sorts.

Obviously I'm all for foreign fans it's sound, but people who don't regularly go wouldn't understand the severity of the grimness.

I can see where you're coming from, and I understand some of it. But I also feel that if I had lived somewhere closer I'd be a season ticket holder for certain. I've been to two games throughout my life, both at home, but follow Everton slavishly and have done so for the past 15-20 years.
At the Bolton game I heard a lot of abuse, and sure it gets you down and the atmosphere is nowhere where you'd expect it to be but most of it is down to the negativity that surrounds the club at the moment.

I'm all too familiar with loving something to the point where you feel you've got to give it up in order to feel good. My feeling was, and is though, that no matter how hard you try, you just can't walk away from this club.
I respect not showing up on matchday on account of being that disappointed in how the club is being run, but I also feel that then you have the obligation to yourself to try and make a difference.

I've got a lot of respect for both the people who refuse to go to the game anymore and try to make a difference, but more so for the people who are at the games week in, week out as I believe I'd be in the latter category.

Some change is much needed, that much is clear. I'm just not convinced that dropping attendances and a divided following is the right path at the moment.
