I just watched that video...
erm... the Sun causing temperature variations on Earth?
The Sun? Who needs a PHD and a documentary to know that? And that global warming theory was formed from a Documentary from 1974??
When I moved to Australia in 1987, I was shocked to see a band of smog on the horizon that was always there. Over the years, I've gradually noticed that the band of smog has gone. It took over a decade, with the gradual reduction of heavy industry.
That was the first time I had actually noticed that we DO affect the environment around us in ever more profound ways.
And do you have any idea what brought about the change in thinking? It was a public scare campaign about the Ozone Layer. Was that a bad thing? It cleaned up the skies and got people thinking about recycling. Factories had to change emissions outputs, the whole system had to re-think. I haven't heard anything about the Ozone Layer in ages. I'm not even sure if there really was one, but it worked. Every household in Sydney gets three bins now. One for general waste, one for Garden waste and one for Recycling. You get taught to recycle from a very early age.
If theres no reason for people to change their ways, they never will.
