It's nothing new there, but as far as I know it is 7 yellow card to one team in a match you get fine, so 6 is ok still!

Its 5 mate and yes we did if I remember right, cracker that Clattenberg isn't he![]()
hmm... I remember there was a match where we received 7 yellow card and got a fine over it, wasn't that against the RS I remember VDM got sent off shortly coming on as a sub?

You are right but that rule was enforced once we reached 5, the other two were an added bonus![]()

thank you so much for resurrecting this thread from last season i wasn't even aware cuntenberg had reffed that game too, but now it really makes sense.
bit funny to see the likes of TX Bill saying he thinks he was a good ref.
in my opinion however, vaughan's challenge on lehmann was bookable, i don't mind if a ref goes to great lengths to protect a keeper, it's easily the most dangerous position on the pitch.
still though, it makes shitenberg's natural bias against us more evident, i guess it was solidified when he was seat mates with stevie g on the plane to asia last summer.
I depsise Cuntenburg the horrible curly tw*t. I hope we have him & Liverpool in the semifinal at home at Goodison, he will get abused out of the place. I would love him to ref a home game again this season so we can all tell him what we think of him.
Until this year, Clattenberg was undoubtedly one of the up and coming referees in the Premier League and I'd get no arguement on that unless it was someone who thought he just started refereeing this year or who's glasses are so blue tinted that they can't see through them.
Has he had a stinker of a year so far. Absolutely. Does he deserve some sort of demotion to the lower leagues until he can get his s&%t straight. Absolutely.
But up until his Merseyside debacle (and some debatable decisions since then in other matches), I doubt there were few Evertonians or football supporters in general who wouldn't not have wanted him in the center for their club's football match.
TX, please accept my assurance that this thread wasn't ressurected following our clash over this guy after the derby, it wasn't. Having read it I recall thinking at the time that something was very wrong matching foul for foul in that game, and that is not to say we did not deserve any bookings. My feelings up to then about the guy are clear from the thread opener, What this does do is highlight another strange run of decisions against our team from this official. I honestly wonder if Moyes has researched his record in our games, it could prove very interesting![]()
