That's the one that finished our magnificent era.Unfortunately we've never recovered.I was in Rotterdam fantastic.It had to be them ruining everything again with the ban.Still sickened to this day.
Money was tight for my family back in the day. I remember my mum saying they’d take me but money was tight, my reply....don’t worry mum I’ll go the European Cup final next year. To say I was sick was an understatement.

To be fair, a few of us thought the same thing. Although I was in Rotterdam, it never crossed my mind that 30 years + later I'd still be waiting for another European final :pint2:

I remember when we played Arsenal at Highbury. They were very good and I remember thinking today we will see just how good the blues are. Can we go to Arsenal and win.
We won 2-0 but also absolutely played them off the park. I remember thinking, WOW, Everton really are a cracker team.
