Clarkson came here and bought a house in the isle of man in the country far up north, and got the public footpaths around his house closed due to them being uncomfortably close to his field of cows.

The Manx walkers are not a people to [Poor language removed]. I believe they attempted quite reasonably to partition to re-open the footpaths. When this failed, a few had had enough, and jumped in his field at the dead of night and slaughtered all his cows.

True story.

He should be taken out and shot in front of his family.

It's weird how the left or working class claim to be hated by the tories yet the only real hatred I see is the other way.

How about money not being an issue? Why should the poorer working class hate the middle class just because they have more money? Likewise why should the middle class look down on the working class for not having as much money? I just don't get it and you're all as bad as eachother. Since when should someone's background or how much money their family has come into it when making friends? Snobbery doesn't just have to come from rich people ya know. A working class person turning their nose up at a middle class person purely for that reason is just as snobby. I come from a working class family but I live in a middle class area. I have friends you could class on either side. This is probably one thing I do have a very balanced view on. Money does not mean **** to me. If your cool enough to be my mate then that's all that matters. If you support Labour, Tory's, Lib Dems whatever it doesn't matter. If you know how to drink kamikazee tequilas with me at the bar then we shall do so.

Isn't prejudice and I mean REAL hatred against people because of where they come from/ what they were born into as bad as racism?

Or whatever.

See, I get what you’re saying generally but we’re looking at a specific incident so you can’t ignore context, and a person’s background forms part of the context. Clarkson has never had to march for anything in his life.
It’s where class and politics meet that people stick up for their own, and rightfully so. That’s nothing to do with sitting down and having a drink with someone.

I never liked Clarkson’s show and his inserted sarcastic tone he tries to pass of as humor. Oh I’d still drink pints with him, or any other **** that would listen to me.

Its not a sweeping generalization nik my world view comes from personal experience mate

1. My dads business being ruined by tory policies

2. Being out of work in the eighties and being told to get on my bike and look for work

3. Meeting many Clarkeson types in in real life who have looked down their noses at me

Despite this I have never doffed the cap and have done well for myself despite the above

Ahh but just because you've met some middle class people who have looked down their nose at you does that mean they are ALL like that? Now you see, if I said to you that my experience of groups of young asian lads on a night out was that they are all looking for a fight, and now I believe they are ALL like that many of you on here would say that's racial prejudice.

What I'm saying is it is all down to personal experience. Everything is. And we all have our own prejudice's and things that first spring to our minds. EVERYONE does. Everyone stereotypes. Everyone has preconceptions. Everyone generalises. And some of you on here act as if you don't and it infuriates so bad I want to tug at my own testicles so hard I let out a tiny high pitched help.

Damn. Those cows were only one day away from retirement.

Well, that blazer wearing slug might be the popcorn king to you, but to some loony out there he might be putting forward a boss idea. That's why we have incitement to violence laws...to stop tits like Clarkson in their tracks.

Perhaps, but the same could be said for anything you see on TV. Guess it comes down to people's perceptions, I view him as a caricature, an over-exageration, for comedy value. Others may think he means what he says, hell he even might himself, but I personally don't take him seriously.

Jeez-us!!! You guys are arguing over something someone said on the TV!!!!

Get ahold of yourselves!!!!!!
