Thaksin puts City stars up for sale - Various

Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra is reportedly ready to listen to offers for all of the club's first-team squad. With Sven Goran Eriksson expected to depart, what does the future hold for the Eastlands outfit?

if this is true, who would you pick up from their squad?

Michael Johnson looks promising.

can you imagine our defense with him at RB, hes great at going forward aswell. apparently the [Poor language removed] were after Johnson earlier this season.

Why would they put up all their players for sale? Even with Erickson going thats just plain madness, there is no stability at all, how can they expect to build upon that foundation?

And I remember a few people asking questions as to why this guy didnt look to invest in Everton, boy am I glad he ignored us now.

Michael Johnson would be great but Richard I am not so sure as his defence mind is rather weak, he often commit himself in attack leaving the backline open for counter attack.

crazy story if this is real. the whole squad? they have 4 or 5 top players.

imagine the whole everton team changing next season! it would be so weird having no attachment to any of the players on the park.

like some sort or parrallel universe experience!! :/

Shinawatra's a mad [Poor language removed].

We would never get Richards or Johnson.

Sturridge I'd have, that kid can [Poor language removed]' play.

Id take Caciedo - young 19 year old striker, great player, we were rumoured with him in the past...

...Get Anichebe out on loan, and bring Caciedo in...

...Other players, Johnson or Petrov...thats all really...

id have Vedran Ćorluka but hed be around £10m. apparently Sven is staying now:

Manchester City owner could be prepared to perform a u-turn and stick with manager Sven-Goran Eriksson. (Sunday Express)

I think it was ridiculous that they wanted to get rid of him. Man City made great progression since last year, Eriksson has turned the club around single handedly.

it was ridiculous idea to sack him but i think him staying may have something to do with City sneaking in to the UEFA Cup. now that they have qualified they will be able to lure better players and they have money to spend aswell (n)

Whoah Dom, lets not get too ahead of ourselves there. He bought a new team! And he had only seen half of them on tape when he bought them. I think it is ridiculous they whole set-up at City, but it is harsh on Sven to get sacked after how he came in and what he did with the team.
