He's from that part of the north end of Liverpool when at that time they had a Protestant Party and Tory-Unionist Party slugging it out and trying to 'out-British' each other to attract votes from workers. The NF would have been a short step from there. Credit to him for learning by his experience.

To be honest there is very little chance that any party with the name National in it is going to stand much of a chance. But I suppose when you take a look at the clowns who run these parties then you can have nothing but contempt for them.

I got a BNP pamphlet through the door the other day, I don't suppose Port Sunlight is there catchment area but there we go. Full of old biddy's and the like.

Anyway, it had some good points, but only if you didn't read the other points and happen to hear the leader of that party saying that David James wasn't English.

It mentioned a good point about equipping our soldiers properly whilst fighting abroad, but within the point was the clear racism that really devalued the whole point.

I think many people want to have an England to be proud of. Kicking blacks and jews out of the country and disowning anyone who isn't pure white really is not the way to go, and is completely overlooking the real problem in this country. It certainly not predominently black or asian. But the BNP or the NF, have nothing but hatred. Despite how they paint it.

We all take wrong turns, although thankfully mine haven't involved a dalliance with a neo-Nazi group.

I think a lot attracted to the far-right, are so for genuine reasons. They're confused, but that doesn't make them Nazi thugs. Mainstream parties need take heed of that. Particularly today, many white, working-class people are marginalised, and the BNP know that.

We've got our own BNP here, it's called the Danish Folk Party. Unfortunately, it sits in government, as part of a power sharing deal. It's most unpleasant and very divisive, as Denmark has become quite a multi-cultural society.
