You still can't whack Greg Lake. Brilliant song, and a thought-provoking message against the farrago of insincerity that Chrstmas has become. Kept off the top by Laurel And Hardy with The Trail Of The Lonesome Pine. Now, I'm the biggest Stan&Ollie fan you could find, but really - that ain't right, man!

I absolutely loathe Stop The Cavalry with an intensity I cannot overstate. Every time the simpering, mumbling cocktrumpet comes bleating over the supermarket speakers the only way I can get through it is the vain hope that this time he will finally get shot in the plums by a German sniper. Never does.
