October, and we're those festive types that have lights all over the shop, Reindeer on the roof, Santa's boots sticking out of a chimney I've had installed, just so I can have novelty* lights on it, blow up Santa's and snowmen on the drive, all run off the mains. The neighbours love it, and me, that's why they all point and smile.

Mid December mate, to do otherwise is to admit there is no joy elsewhere in your life.

*if ever there was a word that hints at a joyless, hollow and ultimately sad experience, it's 'novelty'

Christmas, its a load of (can't think of suitable expetives)

An over fantasized celebration of back slapping banality and over chauvinistic hyperbole that is too commercial than anything else when miserable degenerates worry about how much drink they can have, nothing to do with christanity any more I'm afraid.

Stopped having decorations when I was a kid at home, some years back, no need for now, I mean it's over before it even starts.

Some miserable kids turn up 'good king whatsisface' I mean, don't need it, the usual Cup Soccers on the television channels putting on the usual miserable crap we've seen a dozen times.

'On Her Majestys secret service or Never say Never again on Boxing Day, most probably.

Not a fan of Christmas, too commercial, no fun anymore, be real glad when it's all over.

And then we can wait for the all christmas crap to be in all the shops again by next August.

I have no smiley faces to show my distaste, so Grrrrr..

Not pleased.

USS, Christmas is what you make of it. If you want it to be a happy enjoyable time, then it is up to you to make it so.

Christmas is brilliant, and only because we put the effort in to create the atmosphere in my house. My whole street get into it, putting up really neat outside decorations. The kids love it, me and the wife love it, it is a great time of the year for us.

Easy scrooge! I love xmas. It's one time of year when i get a few days off and all my family comes together, so i get time to spend with them all. We go to church, have a big xmas dinner, do stockings and pressies and all that stuff. Christmas has always been about family for me, just because its over-commercialised doesn't mean you have to give in to all that hype.

Too early for the decorations, but I'm going to make the Christmas cake this weekend.

Personally I would say between 1 and 2 weeks before. But really I dont put much up, but my parents do more.
