Opening presents on Christmas Eve vs. Christmas Day. What say you? We always got to open ONE present only on Christmas Eve (usually from an Aunt/Uncle). I've heard tales of rascals who open all of their presents on Christmas Eve, but it may just be an urban legend.

We opened presents from " our family" Christmas eve. We then opened presents from "Santa " on Christams day.... Even when we were all too old and the truth got out there, parents still followed the tradition.

My friend had to wait until Christmas day evening, after dinner, to open his presents. Weirdo.

Crack of dawn on Christmas day is when they should be opened.

The smell of fresh coffee and bacon wafting in from the kitchen and Noel Edmonds handing out presents to kids with second degree burns on TV in the background.

Dad walking around with a big carrier bag, catching every piece of wrapping paper before it even hits the floor. The dog coughing up tinsel under the tree.

Ahhh, memories.

This is the correct answer for the record.

Wait, what truth about Santa??

I open one on Christmas Eve usually, literally about 10 minutes before it actually is Christmas, then my mum leaves one on the end of my bed to open as soon as I wake up then the rest are for 6/7am Christmas day when everyone is up :D

I don't do presents anymore but when i was younger it was always after breakfast on Christmas day. Never any earlier or later.

Apart from one day when my dad had to work and didn't get home till about 3pm, man that was the longest wait ever.

Sometimes I'd get certain presents early... but more practical things, where it made more sense to get them sooner rather than later.

But when it comes to Christmas Eve, I always waited and do still wait until the morning. Feels kinda shitty if you open prezzies on Chrimbo eve.
