I think that's kind of bonkers; Kevin Sheedy, Peter Beardsley, Gary Ablett, Don Hutchinson, all played for the Dark Side first and were good players for us. Not to mention all the former Everton players who were Liverpool fans as kids.

Just look at how Benteke scored his two goals at Anfield last season (skip ahead to about 7 minutes for the good stuff) Just picture him doing that in an Everton shirt

 


Gotta admit, he's a beast and although he's a bit clumsy at times, he's so good in the air, and not terrible otherwise, he would be a decent Rom replacement. Still need some one to get him the ball and create for him. Klassen will help. Rooney can serve a ball. But need a true play maker. Sigurdsson and Benteke would be a good replacement for Rom, but I STILL think we need someone in the back instead of Williams, and any upgrade at that position isn't going to be cheap.
