Actually he sort of has. The games where Atsu has played he's not done very well, so far.

Deulofeu did pretty well in his early games and got more game time because of that.

Atsu will get games now should he perform.

a total of somewhere in the region of 270 minutes with 10 mins here 5 mins there does amount to a fair amount of game time. he got dragged off at half time against krasnodar because we barely gave him the ball. the one time he did get it and had the oppotunity he ran about 40/50 yards with it an unfortunately picked thr wrong pass. hardly worthy of being scapegoated for. also times he was on bench with no wingers on pitch, system not working and martinez didnt trust him enough to give him a go an see if he cud make an impact. once or twice he was actually left out of the squad when available.

I stand by my original assertion that he hasnt had a fair chance. how is he supposed to show his worth without a reasonable amount of minutes on the pitch.

Martinez sees him day in day out. He was not ready.

Now I actually think he might be half decent for us for the rest of the season and I think he will start tonight.

Ijjy - I must confess that everytime I read one of your posts, in my head the voiceover is Sly Stallone - pre-Rocky 3, where he was a bit stupid, not Rocky 3 or 4 when he seemed to have improved his IQ and seemed quite normal.

Thats how I think he'll line up tonight,not how I'd go,I think with Barry being out sunday,he'll leave Besic out as he'll come in against Leicester,as has been mentioned,i think Naismith needs a break,Barkley should come in but I don't think he'll rest Naismith,anyhow I could be talking total garbage and he may surprise me pleasantly with his selection!lol
