(Without looking through the rule book in detail) my understanding is that football loans are similar to secondments in the workplace... Thus although Chelsea officially remain his employer we would be responsible for him via a temporary contract arrangement and need to arrange his legal right to 'work' in the UK... So yes, but there are probably better experts on GOT than me.

Doubt it mate the only expertise I've witnessed on GOT is a proficiency for Googling and posting cat gifs.

He's had a work permit with Chelsea and in Holland in the past three years.

He was at the world cup in the summer. Getting a work permit will not be a problem. If he was no where near his international team it would be a problem.

Not in this case.

Why would he need to get a new work permit? Isn't he still officially in the employ of Chelsea while on loan?

Work permits are weird.

What's the point again? I'm sure they had some function in football. To stop big teams cherry picking from other continents or something.
