Christian Atsu

Well that's exactly my point. Just how many on here were fretting over Lukaku for the last few months?

If we sign Atsu, and there is a chance that it could become permanent then great, I'm all for it.

Hopefully that will be the case.

If Chelsea have made it crystal clear that we have no chance of a permanent deal at the end of the loan, then it's a swerve from me.

What you're saying isn't strictly wrong, but I think you could look at it very differently.

Of course in an ideal world it'd be ace to have all our own players, but having Deulofeu, Rom, and Barry last season helped us finish 5th, and probably helped us buy Lukaku full stop.

If Atsu helps us get 4th, then we will have more money to spend next summer.

On a side note, why are people believing what The Mirror says?

We can't just forget the utter tripe they spout about our players leaving, just because it's a player joining us.

Atsu loan with no chance of a permanent move? Just give him game time to "bring him on" for Chelsea? Swerve that nonsense.

We aren't a little championship club FFS

And how do you know that's the agreement?! We may well have an agreed price.

We want signings and we'll latch on to anything that suggests we're doing business.

We've had a taste and now we're desperate for more.

Is this lad better than McGeady or Mirallas if not then we shouldnt be signing him.
we need a first 11 winger allowing mcgeady to be sub

We need to bolster the squad. We get him for nothing but wages. He will push for a starting place and offers us a bucket load of pace on the wing in a season where we are playing around 50 games and need all the players we can lay hands on mate.

Unfortunately I agree with this, I don't think McGeady is up to being in our first XI.

But having said that, I'd rather us sign this lad on loan if it allows us to buy/loan another quality striker in.
Plus I want everyone to fume at us signing more players on loan :)
