Yeah, him and the Yank CB's had a good game that day. Ghana had a lot of chances, but the vast majority of them were off-target.

I think the game plan was what really made Atsu look bad there. All Ghana did was cross, no creativity at all.

Exactly. Just wait till he's had a few months with Bob. He''ll get better, It happened with Gerry and this kid is further in his development.

The level of optimism here is worrying

Out of all signings made or attempted so far, it's the only one we've not seen reported on the OS.

Keep hearing this is a done deal , any news ?
Terms agreed with the player etc.
The longer this takes it looks more than a loan deal.
Surely simple negotiations and then quick medical if it was just a year loan.
Looks promising, maybe even permanent. ...Hoping !

It won't be permanent. Would make no sense from Chelsea's point of view.

At 4.40 on this interview Martinez is asked about Atsu - doubt the question would have been raised by in house media if not close to being complete.

Lukaku was sold because Mourinho and him didn't get on. Atsu hasn't even played for them yet and is a definite talent.

I think any fee would be out of our price range.

Definite talent? Not even a little bit, theres no way anybody can tell if he can cope in this league.
