Squad game, not every player will be starter quality, even in top 4 squads. Park ji sung, cleverly, oshea, brown etc

Say we got Atsu - you'd all notice pretty quickly that the dynamic of our left hand side would change radically, as it'd mean Baines would not advance as much as we'd be playing more direct football to get the quicker player stretching the opposition.

There's more than one way to approach the game. Pienaar offers one dynamic, whilst the likes of Deulofeu/Atsu offer an entirely different one. One style is not automatically better than the other, even if it is more eye catching.

yep, football is more than just select your best XI players and make a team with it now. martinez shows vs arsenal that he thinks outside the box and is not afraid to shake it up. under moyes we had our best XI pretty much set in stone and the tactics would hardly vary from match to match

Think we need pace. It allows us to change games if we need to, plus it scares defenders.

We've got the ball players like Pienaar and Mcgeady.

Sometimes you need a drag racer though.

But if you read the reports about Atsu you would realise he's more of a Pienaar style player who links play than deulofeu.
 

I remember watching him a couple times at porto in the europa league and being very unimpressed. Not sure we need another out and out winger, I was hoping for someone more creative.
