Wow....am I back on Kipper?

I posted a question based on an opinion. It's not a knee jerk and it's not based on my view of Tim Howard now or previously.....I simply wanted to see if anyone shared my opinion that Chris Woods doesn't appear to have improved anyone. It wasn't a case of its Chris Woods fault that we defended collectively ****e for two ale-house goals the other night.
Martyn was first rate before he arrived, Ruddy got the elbow for not putting enough pressure on the 1st choice keeper and in fairness got his chance in the Premiership and with the national team long after he had left Everton; Simonsen never made the grade and slipped into the relative obscurity of lower league football despite so much promise; Wright took a massive downward spiral after he arrived at Everton....maybe the pressure of the big transfer fee.
I asked because I have an interest in goalkeeping as a mate coaches professionally and we discuss keepers and situations regularly and obviously I tend to look at situations a bit differently than I do for outfield players.....nothing more, nothing less.

Incidentally, I don't think Woods has improved Tim one bit technically from his Utd days. Tim still suffers from the same weaknesses that saw Sir Alex replace him with some absolute shockers like Taibi and Bosnich. I believe they called him the Count (for obvious reasons) at OT in training.
