Chopper is a superb film, funny as fook. Admittedly the man in real life is a bull****ting arsehole but that doesn't stop ya enjoying it. Seen three times, wish i could erase me memory and watch another 3 times.

Anthrax does have a certain charm. There's plenty of brilliant films about unsavoury characters.

I can't see anyone in this thread praising the actual person behind the film, just the film itself which is a great film.

Mind you, i've got Choppers book somewhere but can't remember anything about it apart from it seemed to be mainly him telling about the criminals he's killed and that he done society a favour.

No i just despise gangster worship in grown men

I know mate, I was fuming when the Godfather got all them oscars.

And I've been waiting for Ian Beale to top Phil Mitchell for yonks. Thought it'd finally happen when he went nuts and started living in the park. Still, I live in hope.

Great film. Thank god there's people out there who don't just make films about puppy dogs and rainbows.

I simply pointed out that chopper was a cock to which you replied 'You must be a copper mate' which suggested you were defending the individual and not the film. I didnt comment on the film.

And what was it about The Poodle and the Pot of Gold you found so offensive? I thought it was Owen Wilsons most touching performance.
