I'm of the opinion that World Powers don't last forever, and they are superceded by someone better and bigger which is stable, or just plain more ruthless which is followed by periods of instability.

China is the sleeping giant, they've been living under the banner of communism for so long, now they can see what we have in the west and they want their share.

Consumerism is the new communism, and they want it more than we do.

An Italian, a Scotsman and a Chinese man, are hired at a Construction site. The foreman points out a huge pile of sand.

He says to the Italian guy, "You're in charge of sweeping."

To the Scotsman he says, "You're in charge of shoveling."

And to the Chinese guy, "You're in charge of supplies."

He then says, "Now, I have to leave for a little while. I expect you men to make a dent in that pile of sand."

So when the foreman returns after being away for a couple of hours the pile of sand is untouched.

He asks the Italian, "Why didn't you sweep any of it?"

The Italian replies, "I no hava no broom. You saida to the Chinesea fella that he a wasa ina charge of supplies, but he hasa disappeared and I no coulda finda him nowhere."

Then the foreman turns to the Scotsman and says "And you, I thought I told you to shovel this pile."

The Scotsman replies, "Aye, that ye did laddie, boot ah could nae get meself a shoovel. Ye left th' Chinese gadgie in chairge of supplies, boot ah couldna fin' him neither."

The foreman is really angry now. He storms off toward the pile of sand to look for the Chinese gent.

Just then, the Chinese man leaps out from behind the pile of sand and yells, "SUPPLIES!!!!"

The lack of freedom of information galvanizes them in a way we could never be so solid together.

They have there own way, and our history and customs, the way we, through our own respective countries, have forged paths to democracy on the whole they couldn't give two shits about.

Its about getting a new pair of sneakers or a pimped out car. New clothes or video games and making money that makes them tick. And we only have ourselves to thank for dousing our morality with saturated commercialism.

Agree with that mate. Our mentality these days is so focused on what we have rather than what we do it is scary. People need to realise there is more to life than money, it is hard I know cause everywhere is causing you to think about it, new inventions every day that you need to spend your money on. It is crazy.

I don't think anyone said that they'd conform to what we tailor. I think that their citizenry will determine that once they've overthrown the communists. 10, 20, 50 years? Don't know when but it'll happen.
