The author who clearly champions himself as a modern day Karl Marx based the entire preview on insulting a rival club suggesting that it’s so called ‘bourgeois supporters were vastly inferior to the working class heroes of Everton.
How incredibly disrespectful-Southampton FC is the heart of our city and indeed our wider community- we have followed our teams in the darkest of times. Was the author at Highbury in 1984? Has the author witnessed the indignity of his team falling into administration, selling its beat players and dropping 2 divisions. Maybe that’s where you think we belong Chico? But like the phoenix we rose again from the ashes - and we have taken our rightful place at the top table- despite 2 9-0 hammerings we play aggressive exciting football.
The nondescript city you refer to is the gateway to the world, very much a working class city with generations of good men and women- dockers and ship crew- good folk who love their football team.
A city that was decimated by the luftwafe and endured as much suffering as any other city-the spitfire was built a few miles away from our beloved St Mary’s - our spiritual home
Our football team reflects our maritime history- defying the odds, producing world class players and giving a bloody nose to the so called ‘big boys’ who repeatedly seem to underestimate us.
James Ward Prowse has played every minute of every game and consistently performs to the highest level. Insulting a great player- a quiet unassuming man who sweats blood and tears for the cause does not deserve such derision.

We are Saints and we are proud of it- and as we say down here ‘we March on’

Just so happy we have Karl Marx here giving us a lesson in class solidarity before the footballing one at 3.

Joseph you vote Tory so you are against scousers. Since I’m kicked off twitter I just had a look and seems I’m not alone in my condemnation of you, as this Italian gentleman seems to know you too.

Incorrectly posted Chico I don't vote Tory - I support Everton FC OK - keep politics off the football forum you introduced it on return ....go on the politics thread not on this forum OK as they don't mix .......
