Does it really matter though about religion? And trying not to get bog down with it cos its not really allowed here - but saying you are not religious, does it then matter? or is it down to your family and are you inclined to keep inline with your parents views?

It's more down to where you live. I'm from a mixed family, but i was brought up Protestant. Though i have more Catholic relatives than Protestant ones.
If you live in a mixed area, then your views can reflect that. If you live in a Republican or Protestant area, there are lines you must not cross, and rules you must adhere to. Unless you live here, or have relatives who do, you can never understand how it works. I do laugh at the views of some of the clowns on here though. :P

Never lived there mate, never been to Ireland I'm ashamed to say - but I know how it is, I studied it in high school - and I know the lines and that they must not be crossed. It's ****ed up mate.

Then how come there is no difference in the Rugby? Do you not consider yourself Irish? I went to college with some Belfast girls who never considered themselves Northern Irish, they were Irish.
I worked with Irish nurses who would blow their top if they were called British
Strange when most of them worked here for over 20years
