You would imagine Chelsea will be really up for this match and we will be in half holiday mode. Hopefully this won't be the case and we give them a good game.

I just want Moyes to test his squad in these couple of games. Why keep playing the same players like Doucs. We know what he’s about and we either offer him reduced terms or he leaves. Charley we need to see for a few games having 90 mins. Same for Patterson, Chermiti etc. The Southampton game would be important historically to win but as for the rest just mix it up.

If you analyse what moyes said, he alluded to seeing O'Brien at centre back in pre-season but tarks injury may see that pushed forwards. So had Tarky not got injured, there was no intention of seeing if Patterson has a future at right back. He says playing keane means we dont have to swap 2 positions, which again suggests he thinks patterson/young and coleman arent good enough.

I have news for him though.
Keane isn't good enough either.

Probably the one position we have plenty of options in our squad is RB, but most of those options are not good enough to start.

Regardless of any injury Patterson has no past, present or future at Everton.

No manager has ever trusted him and he was the biggest mistake in this club's transfer dealings in the last few seasons.

If there was any honour in football Thelwell would take him back to Nazi FC this summer.
