I think Benitez knows he will get away with a defeat because it’s Chelsea, but if it’s an embarrassing score line it could make a big difference. He will play the most defensive team he can. I expect, Delph, Doucoure, Gbamin and Gomes all to play.

The club needs to shore up sagging supporter spirit. Perhaps they might give us news of new developments around BMD (such as a planned monorail system), or releasing an inspiring video of Capt Seamus telling us all how hard our brave lionhearts are training. Some Blue Chrimbo themed video would not go amiss: our brave lionhearts dressed as elves and fairies visiting Merseyside orphanages and work houses. Everton's work in the community contributes mightily to our being the giant of a club that we are.
