Maybe romanticizing, but this team really could use a Mirallas or Deulofeu... hell, even a McGeady. Pacey players that can make a run and actually beat somebody. Feels like our team is made up of physical players (DCL, Richarlison) or more technical playmakers (Gomes, Sigurdsson, Digne), and sometimes we just need somebody to make a run at the defense and not lose the ball IMMEDIATELY.

One of Evertons better matches. Chelsea is much to strong for Everton. Holgate is a accident waiting to happen but Iwobi having a good match.

He is rubbish, lacks pace and positional awareness, awful on the ball, worse off it

Not much else we could be doing - a poor goal to concede but not much else from Chelsea.

It’s going to be a long end of the season though if Doucoure is out for long and Gomes has to play in the middle - he is so poor.

He's getting caught in 2 on 1s cos Iwobi isn't doing a good enough job tracking Alonso.

Chelsea overload either wings. The left is quiet cos Siggy, Digne and Richy are defending more or at least organised to stop any threat

Haven't really done anything going forward but one bad mistake aside it's been comfortable.

Iwobi propa disgusts me though, looks like the most unnatural midfielder I've ever seen.

Bit more drive needed from Gomes. Needs to turn and bring the ball forward. We've grown into the game though.

Just the same frustrations as always, lack of ball and lack of courage on the ball. Everything is just so safe and negative in possession. I dont think people would mind losing possession more if it was trying to be productive on the ball.

45mins in and Godfrey's done the most ambitious drive on the ball on the touchline.

That's what fumes me the most. There's a lack of leadership, particularly in the middle. NEED Allan, Gomes or Siggy to grab this game by the scruff and start putting their mark on the midfield. Far too easy for Jorginho and Kovacic atm.
