Chelsea want the ball so much more than us

Like this every game really. All comes down to the midfield as usual. Too many who dont want the responsibility on the ball / can't link well and have good periods of possession.

Gomes is a prime example. Lazy, sloppy and careless on the ball. had we better ball carries and creators in midfield the defence would have so much work to do all the time.

An awful time to be missing Doucore today. Chelsea screw around with the ball a lot and make quite a few mistakes. They are just asking to get mugged in the midfield but we don’t have anyone to capitalize off of it.

Iwobi more at fault for the goal, doesn’t sense danger, when Holgate out of position, Iwobi should stay narrow and force play wide! Iwobi is terrible with and without the ball.

Hate to say but Holgate jogging back casually caused Iwobi to have to leave space to close the man. Played well up until then.

He's just a disappointment, not really sure what he offers at this point. He's our third or fourth best central defender, should be the guy who gets a run out occasionally in the cup and against lower teams, can't do much of anything else.
