in my opinion the only reason Ivanovic isn't facing punishment is because of Mourinho's outbursts and patheticness last night during interviews; he pretended like head butting somebody is fine and not assault, and that the whole thing was blown out of proportion. the FA and Premier League know that he's too valuable to upset and therefore showed, again, complete cowardice and bias. Fitting really, as it merely reciprocates every referee's performance this season.

I'm glad Ivanovic isn't facing any punishment. It's not like we would get any benefit and would just help teams who are probably in around us.

Chelsea had already got at the ref subliminally by his booking Besic for the first tackle of the game. The influencing of the ref, this time on the pitch, became more explicit as the game went on. Their fume when Barry made the foul was ridiculous but all part of their 'professionalism' (as the media now label cheating) that is grilled into them by Mourinho. The reaction was what you'd expect if a player had gone in two-footed and broke their man's leg, not for a stupid trip in an unimportant area of the field when their player was on the verge of losing the ball anyway.
Both of Barry's where cynical and yellow cards. Besic's was the one I thought was a bit harsh. It wasn't dangerous and he just got done by the quick feet of Hazard in an area where there wasn't a great deal of danger. However Chelsea being at home and Hazard always being kicked from pillar to post I think he felt he couldn't let that one go because then he would have to let all the rest like it go too.

Can't get much better service than a ball cutting out the whole defence right to his feet, five yards out from goal. Typically, he fires it right at the goalkeeper, with the whole goal to aim at.
He was 3 yards out. Strikers don't aim from there they just get their foot on it and make contact. If it hits the keeper then it's a case of [Poor language removed] happens. Owen said he did nothing wrong and I think he would know.

agree. it was just bad luck really. Cech knew sod all about it. Swings and roundabouts. We usually get a lot of luck going our way so sometimes you just gotta take the occasional bad luck on the chin.

TBF Ovideos cross was very hard , and low an ideal cross to cause chaos in a box full of Chelsea defenders other than Lukarku - he was unlucky not to score in hindsight a toe poke may have been a better option than a side footed shot , but Chech made two good save of him last night the chosen one ran to him first to thank him!

What, Moyes now hates us that much?

You have a problem with Sierra Leone, Chico? That's not very nice. It's not our fault Chelsea is a globally supported club. Now, notice how you throw out red-herrings and distract from the issue at hand. Everyone called it as a pen. The commentators called it. MOTD called it. I'm very surprised you see it differently.

And as for surrounding the ref, what about the systematic fouling of your players? What about your players strangling Diego Costa in the reverse fixture, hmm?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

jesus, they're worse than goal.com. let's put this into perspective, commentators and pundits include people like jamie redknapp who said "In his youth, Michael Owen was literally a greyhound." and said michael owen who says things like “That would’ve been a goal had it gone inside the post.”

i mean come on, MOTD is possibly the worst place to go for a footballing view.

Haha. I was laughing at the commentator last night. Before the goal, he said ''if this match stays the same and City hold on to their lead, they COULD (his emphasis, not mine) cut the lead to 5 points.

And these people get payed (very well) to talk.

They also called this one a clear handball.

Don't see you complaining about that call and it is a far more obvious handball as it is lower than his elbow rather than up by his shoulder. we were pretty happy it got missed as well!
