Its all kicking of isnt it, who needs a manager, show them how its done Roman:

Sky Sports sources understand that Tottenham have turned down a £22million offer from Chelsea for Luka Modric.

The Croatian playmaker has emerged as one of the Premier League's most creative and stylish performers since arriving at White Hart Lane in 2008.

A series of sparkling displays for Spurs last season reportedly attracted the attention of several clubs, with Manchester United

believed to be admirers of the 25-year-old.

However, it is Chelsea

who are believed to have made the first move for Modric this summer, lodging a big-money bid for his services.

Tottenham rejected the proposal but it is understood that the Blues

are planning to return with an improved offer that will further test their resolve.

Chelsea are currently without a manager after sacking Carlo Ancelotti

but owner Roman Abramovich

appears ready to invest heavily in the squad as he is determined to bounce back after a season without silverware.

Spurs have previously made it clear that they intend to keep hold of all their key players after missing out on UEFA Champions League qualification.

Harry Redknapp stated over the weekend that Modric was crucial to their hopes of future success, saying: "If we sell Luka we are just a selling club basically."

Modric, though, has refused to rule out the possibility of a transfer this summer.

Two players i dont see what all the fuss is about are Modric and Nasri - good players yes, but the way the media hype them up and these transfer fees, not for me.

They are both exceptional players mate. Given you didn't think Pienaar was very effective, I think you probably just don't like nice little players that don't cross or shoot much.

Yeah that sounds about right - i value effectiveness more then most, tbf to Nasri he has become increasingly effective.

Pienaar was just massively overatted for me.

The only thing Modric needs to bring to his game is 3-4 more goals a season, other than that he's a beaut; exactly the type of player Man United have needed since Mr Scholes celebrated his 34th birthday.

Modric is the real deal. But transfers between Prem clubs are almost always overvalued.

Mordric wasn't Arteta at his peak. Was think that well Spurs are going to learn how we feel but no they'll just go after our players with Chelseabucks.

Maybe Nasri i could agree on but Modric is a superb player.

I guarantee if he was in our midfield first six games of last season we wouldn't of struggled to score goals like we did, nor would we of struggled so much to break down resiliant teams who defend deep.

He's a great player and only 25. I thought he was 10x better than Bale this season.

£22 million is a bit steep, but if he's going to be there for the long haul it might just be a smart buy.

When you consider the Jordan Henderson fee, £22m would be the equivalent of a free transfer for Modric in terms of value.
