the article doesn`t say they have put a deal together, only that they think its the logical plan of action.

Vague news really(n)

Current Everton chairman Bill Kenwright admits he lacks the cash or resources to take the club forward and build a planned new £400million stadium in Kirkby.

When did we get a 400mill stadium? LOL

And its not Peter Reid, its a company called London Nominees Ltd that are "interested". Peter Reid would be an advisor because the company has ties in Hong Kong and Thailand....and Reid is Thailands national footy manager.

2+2=5

I can honestly think of no better resolution to Kenwright's search for an investor than a fat cartel of wealthy businessmen led by Peter F'N Reid.

That isn't really what that article says though, despite the silly headline and leading choice of language.

Would be a fantastic deal for us if we got the money and someone in charge that loves the club, can't see it happening though and the fact that the News of the Screws are reporting it crushes it's credibility unfortunately

"And I'm glad we don't bother with a Cup final record anymore. Some of the boys' haven't really got the rhythm for that kind of thing."

There goes that little hope (n)

Would be ideal if a consortium led by Peter Reid would take over Everton. At least you could rest assured, he'd have Everton's best interest at heart. After reading the responses on here though, I presume News of the World isn't the most trustworthy paper out there?

Get used to [Poor language removed] like this.
One week Bill says we're skint looking for investemnt.
The next week - Hey presto, here come the investor's.

David says he would 'like' to manage in scotland someday and sure enough - he's going to Celtic.

It's the start of the BS summer and come August after being linked with allsorts, we will be relatively the same club and have the same squad with a couple of new, young faces
- And I for one will be okay with that.

Fully agree with that.(y)

This story is a complete load of bollocks, it's the NOTW FFS! Slack journalism at it's best....

- Reidy played for us
- He's manager of Thailand
- He's advisor to a Hong Kong/Thai based investment company
- We're apparently seeking investors

Probably written by the same fella that says Lescott's of to Villa
