Because Andy Bell was playing lead guitar before Oasis were even formed, and playing it much better as well. His talent is wasted on bass.

hendrix was a far better guitarist that noel, its not even close!


I'd rather listen to noel, or someone like knopfler/coxon/butler.


as for hendrix, I have a deep suspicion that fret-[Poor language removed] (see also vai/halen etc)wouldnt know a decent melody if they choked on it!!
 
No I mean I saw Bernard Butler play when he was with Suede back in 93. Impressive musician. Saw them in Blackpool Tower Ballrooms.

sorry i though it was a bit mocking!!



I saw them a couple of times myself.

I liked butler because like marr he carried songs along single-handedly, usually playing both rythm and lead guitar at the same time. suede were essentailly a 3 piece band with a singer.

but if you compare what they put out musically, to other 3 piece bands like green day etc butler's guitar put another layer over things.
