Won’t see a more single handed turnaround of a games momentum than that. Didn’t even do anything fancy. Just attitude and body language. If Moyes can’t use that performance as an example to Barry and Dibling, then he’s a muppet.

I actually thought in terms of the ground he covered he was similar to KDH. We just missed someone putting in that shift in the first half. Barry didn't look interested and Ndiaye didn't look capable of doing what Alcaraz could.

KDH has no real cutting edge and isnt dynamic. Likes playing slow with Grealish.

Played like a player who was royally peeved at not getting a proper chance. Has to be his starting place to lose now, and needs to produce those levels on a consistent basis.

Gana had his worst 55 minutes in an everton shirt...massively improved throughout the second half, and finished as the fitter player on that pitch...not sure kdh has the defensive abilities that gana has though...

Either way Alcaraz has just played himself into the starting 11. He played like someone desperate to get first team football and he deserves a spell in the side now.

I like KDH but the same as Iv felt since last season, Alcaraz just brings us proper balance.

KDH tends to take too many touches. I’d be open to playing a 433 but kdh shouldn’t be undropbable

Yes. Both are quality. But KDH is looking to create with extra touches. It can lead to slowing momentum. Alcaraz has his eye on goal. I rate Charly a little higher. We need to score goals. We’ve lacked it for years.

He is an ‘Everton’ type player for me. High energy, willing to battle, with a touch of guile and class thrown in. He’s been underutilised by Moyes, hoping to see a bit more of him now.
