….i’m guessing a bit here as I have no idea about his background, but I assume ‘street footballers’ still exist in poor areas of S America. It’s why they play with spirit and quality, they still play like the game matters.
I think it is the same for African players, play with whatever ball you can muster on any surface, plus coming from where there is potential poverty and you can see why it means so much to them.

Strange how kids don't play street football as much, I do see a lot of those mini goals sets about around my way though so kids do still play just not like we used too.

You often find that a lot of African players actually grew up in France and played 'street football' in the poorer areas of Paris / Marseilles etc, Doucoure being one of many examples of this.

Bloody hell, Doucoure would have to be the worst street footballer to make it if that was the case. Bet he was always last pick for the 5 a side team 😆

….a translator comes much cheaper. The club used to employ Norman Gard as a linguist and family liaison officer (RS also employed him). I got to know him a little before he passed, he was a big Evertonian and remained very close with players like Bob the Pole. His mobile contact list was amazing and he was great company.
Moyes can already translate.https://youtu.be/xhEfSUPnZL4?si=1T-6zpqWazOdBX3k

Richarlison vibes all over again 💙

Imagine the two of them in the same team, with Beto up front, they`d cause carnage.

There`d be a fair few on the pitch riots and sendings off, but it sure would be fun.
Richy will be desperate to come back in the summer. Spurs fans are totally underwhelmed by him. Would love to see him play in a half decent blues team.

Yeah - it's weird really.

Was only when I saw before hed just turned 22, that we've actually got quite a few younger players on our books now.

Branthwaite
O'Brien
Alcaraz
Garner
Ashley Young
NDiaye
Patterson

and on the fringes

Chermiti & Armstrong

Quietly gone and fixed the huge problem we have. Truly encouraging.

Thank you Kevin...

FC Sexy are back :p

The man is totally finished. His body is falling apart. Be madness to hand Levy good money for him. Invest in young talent not someone who is injured most of the season.

Sentimentality got us in trouble the first time around.

Plus our horizons have got to be higher now.

Richarlison was hardly a superstar for us the first time around even if he now looks world class compared to what we have had since.

Agreed.

No doubt Levy would pull our pants down again on the fee and it's just not worth it.
