Think Jack does speak a little bit from a post I saw somewhere before
Pretty sure I saw him do a post for our/PL's Spanish Twitter page on his return last summer but can't find it now.He might have picked up a bit playing during his stint in the US
For what it's worth, Harrison's Spanish is actually not bad. "It's getting a little bit better," he says. "I studied Spanish in school for a little bit so I know how to formulate sentences...my girlfriend is actually Costa Rican so I understand a lot of the Spanish, I think I get a bit shy when it comes to actually speaking it."
Sorry, I know, I was just being facetiousFootball is a universal language is a quote attributed to George Weah

I lived in France for 6 months and whilst not fluent had a reasonable command of the language, at least I thought I did until I had to go to the French tax officeOh I understand that and I couldn't learn another language if my life depended on it
I just can't imagine how hard it must be to settle into a squad of players when there are obvious communication difficulties.![]()
I know of a Spanish girl who works on Shiel Road she could be a good liaison. You can communicate quite a lot without words, especially in Sport. The struggle will be the tactics I suspect - but he will know enough from Southampton & Moyes will know enough from Spain to be able to manage.
I imagine the harder thing will be the day to day stuff and not hearing Spanish at all. I assume the club will get him a liaison.
The language of football is universal. You don't
Need to speak the local lingo in order to be able to
Communicate with the ball.
