like when we were beating bournemouth 2-0, then he came on in 83rd minute and we lost 3-2?

personally, i prefer my club to have players with both skill and effort not just one or the other.

also im not a huge fan of stats like, when x doesn't play, the club loses more games

sometimes these stats can just be purely coincidental

wasn't there a stat going around that when gareth bale first played for spurs he never won in 24 consecutive games

well he has 5 champions leagues to his name

i prefer to judge with my own eyes rather than stats and from what i've seen he is a donkey

…we’d all prefer our team to have players with ‘skill and effort’ but unfortunately we haven’t been in that position for a long time

….they don’t ’love him’, they see how valuable he is to the team and they see what our results are like when he doesn’t play. Was it 20 points gained from games he scored in last season (arguably our most difficult season on record) and never lost a game he’s scored in?

Despite being poor in possession, he’s made a huge contribution in maintaining our status, I remember when he got sent off in the incident with Harry Kane and then suffered injury and posters were wondering how we’d manage without him. He’s been handsomely rewarded here but he’s earned it and I will always be thankful for his contribution.
I believe Séamus Coleman shares the same luck. We've never lost in a game he's scored in as well. Not chirping in on the debate just thought it interesting
