Fair enough. I didn't watch it so closely to notice. But I know Italian, not Portuguese, and it sounded very much like the TV weather forecasters there!

Now I’ve been out of school for a long time. I took Spanish decades ago. If I recall, it should be super easy to communicate with Charly. Add an ‘o’ to the end of each word. Drop in an ‘el’ occasionally. If he still doesn’t understand what you’re saying, just look directly in his eyes, speak really slowly, and say it very loudly. That usually gets the job done.
