Player Valuation: £35m
With Distin getting older, Heitinga likely to leave and Duffy seemingly no closer to getting in, just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on who could partner Jags for the next few years? The player would need to be ideally taller and louder than Jagielka and hopefully a bit better with the ball. Maybe somebody like Fernando Amorbieta at Bilbao. As opposed to a Scott Dann or Grant Hanley.

Lescott, Steven Taylor - maybe Shawcross (Even though he seems like a ****) and Dawson.

We know what Lescott is like, Steven Taylor imo is a great defender, Dawson is constantly solid for Tottenham and it was only last season that they wanted to get rid, and Shawcross is young and he is a good player - but at our recent match he seemed like he was a ****.

we need a partnership there more than anything else so height and authority will do

Bring back Lescott on the cheap. Everton would have 3/4 of England's back 4, and we would have a very good back 4 with Coleman there too.

Many City fans don't want to sell Lescott because they still rate him. Some of our players are still good mates with him. I'd love to have him back.

Either Aymen Abdennour of Toulose or Bruno Martins Indi of Feyenoord. Both are big, quick left sided CBs. They're both rated at about 10m though so maybe not.

nah lad, I can't pronounce their names.
We need them to be English/French aswell preferably so there sound on twitter and that aswell!

I like the bits I've seen of Bruno Ecuele as well, possibly Douglas of Twente. Dawson is class in the air but arguably a tad cumbersome. Depends on whether we're sticking with three at the back or not really.

Central defenders are generally later bloomers so I reckon we will be seeing more of Duffy as I believe Moyes rates him highly and is going to look to bring him on next season in place of Distin.

even more than how fans may react to lescott coming back is how the players will react. he may still be mates with some but practically throwing a game to get a move is worse than anything Rooney did in my opinion. how motivated is he going to be back at Goodison as well. our most successful buys in that position have come from the lower leagues. its one of the areas were quality comes out with a higher profile sometimes. what about that Rodwell lad though at City, apparently he started as a centre back
