…he was allowed to because nobody can stop him. I don’t say the club is his but he’s the majority shareholder.

He’s not a ‘football knowledgeable man’, but he might think he is or he might be persuaded by high-profile agents who mix in his circle. It’s lots to do with ego, it’s lots to do with very rich people, it’s less to do with logic.
I used the wrong word with allowed, but didn’t he have any real friends at the club to tell him he was wasting his money, or were they all too busy helping to spend his money for him, definitely wasn’t looked after like he should have been.

…difficult one, Cameron. You’d think somebody as successful in life as him would know his limitations but perhaps money was no object so he brought in a few himself with best intentions.

Possibly Eggs, but Kenwright wooed him to Everton, made a lot of money through him, knew him better than anyone at Everton but failed to offer real friendship by protecting him and his money.
