He's good. He's hit the ground running this season, difficult start with being in and out of the team but he's adapted quickly and shown he can bag goals already. Get a couple more creative pacy players around him and he will be the least of our worries next season.

You've obviously not seen much of him.

But ye ok its suits the narative.

Theres plenty of clips on the web for you to take a look , scores plenty on the counter. He's always up with the play and has a great turn of pace.

I’ve seen plenty of him in person thanks.

Just to be clear. I didn’t say he’s slow. I did however say he lacks a yard of pace that would make him a lot more dangerous. He’s not as quick as DCL or Niasse.

Not sure what “narrative” you’re talking about. I think he’s a good striker and certainly a great finisher.

You’re making out like I’ve got it in for him purely because I’ve said he’s not the quickest (which he isn’t)

..I think he’s a very decent finisher. The best ones strike a ball cleanly, the best ones invariably slot inside the post. Tosun is decent in the air too but that’s pretty blunt in a team that doesn’t create. I think we need better, an all round, top drawer striker that puts fear into the opposition defence with pace power, attitude and ability. If we do become more creative, Tosun will be a useful attribute in the squad.
I think that's a very good analysis.
He is decent , much better than we had but would any of the top 6 teams accomodate him ? No in my opinion.
For us to be where Moshiri says he wants us to be he should be a squad player.

No mate your original post you stated "lacks a yard of pace" ....he obviously doesnt.

But you are right he is a good stiker and great finisher.

Edit
Will be even better with quality service instead of the Sam hoofball he's been served.

I've seen every minute he's played for us and I completely agree with him, he's absolutely not one of the quickest strikers in the league. He's not one of the slowest either, but I would agree that he appears a little 'one paced', in that he's reasonably quick but needs to be running at full pelt, rather than having the extra gears that the really pacey strikers have. It's not a criticism, players have different strengths, but I wouldn't say speed was one of Tosuns.

If he had lightening pace, he wouldn't be at Everton, that's for sure.

Glenn Murray has that honour sewn up for the foreseeable future. Accelerates about as quickly as a truck would.
