So first if all name me a striker we could of bought in to make impact straight away? Realistic suggestions.

I can only think of one, Batshuayi. But he went to Dortmund & that’s a better move for him then coming to Everton.

Nearly every foreign player regardless of position needs time to adapt to premier league. The ratio who hit ground running vs those that take time is heavily weighted in favour of needing time.

Good management. If Fonseca did it I bet you’d not be complaining
We`d only needed a striker for half a season mate, I`d have expected Gravy Train Steve, to have a few lined up, isn`t that what he`s supposed to be paid to do ?

But then again ..................

Calm down champion :D

I'm not someone that will try to convince you that Turkish Leauge is not wank.

If we compare with PL, sure it is wank.

But your approach about Gomis, shows a lack of football knowledge.

At my previous post, the main subject was : "Quality of striker is important. But more important point is what type of team he plays at"

Gomis is an example for that. Did you ever watch Galatasaray games this year? (sure not. why you would watch a wank league :))

Galatasaray makes 452131 attacks per game. So even you put Sam Allardyce to forward, he would score 10-15 lol

Another example. Why Robin Van Persie sat at bench last 1 year and sent back to Netherlands in da wank Turkish league? Although he is not young, he should score at least 15-20 at a wank league right? But his team was lacking of "attack mentality" and played like a small team. So they could not feed him.

Another example. Mario Gomez. He was dead when he came to Turkey. Italians were so happy to sell him. He joined a "attacking team". And scored many goals. Did a great job and carried team to championship. And he was invited back to German National Team for Euro 2016.

I can show hundreds of examples. But simply, Gomis 's performance has nothing to do with Turkish League's being wank. (whether it is wank or not) Gomis joined the correct team, at correct time. If he has joined Fenerbahce instead, he would not have scored more than 5 goals in the same wank league you see?

So... i say it again. The formula is : Correct player for Correct team.

Cenk is correct player for attacking rate. He has high % of scoring . But what was that Burnley game. No way there. Bring Ronaldo, Messi or Pele. Nothing changes.

Everton was really not playing like a big team. But it doesn't mean that "Everton not have the potential". It is legendary club, with nice squad. 2-3 "on target" transfers and change team's mentality to attack, i see Everton fighting for top 3 EPL.

(Mentality of Brighton game) + (some more attack organization) + (2-3 transfers) = Success

I see that some Evertonians lost their confidence to their team, so they even take positive criticism as insult.

Relax
He's done me there

Wayne Rooney is off Everton penalties and Cenk Tosun should be ON them

Turkish striker Tosun has an outstanding record from 12-yards.

Sam Allardyce confirmed that Wayne Rooney is now off penalties at Everton in the wake of his latest miss from 12-yards against Brighton.

But the name of the man who should be stepping up from 12-yards is obvious - and it’s not Leighton Baines.

Since missing for the first time in a Premier League match at Old Trafford in 2014 he has appeared less enthusiastic about taking the responsibility from 12-yards.

Cenk Tosun, however, clearly wants to take them.

And what’s more, he’s very, very good from 12 yards.

The Turkish international has taken 25 penalties in a career stretching back to November 2008, and has scored 24.

His only miss was almost six years ago, when Istanbul Buyuksehir goalkeeper Eduardo saved Tosun’s 88th minute. But Tosun had already scored earlier in the match to help his Gaziantepspor side win 2-1.

Since then Tosun has converted 12 out of 12 for Besiktas, including one in the Champions League against Monaco - and also scored two in international friendlies for Germany U21s before attaching his international allegiance to .

Prior to joining Besiktas he also took penalties for Gaziantepspor, scoring five.

Blues boss Sam Allardyce also namechecked Gylfi Sigurdsson as a potential successor on spot-kick duties - and his record is also outstanding.

There is a doubt over his fitness at present with the player having a scan on a knee problem picked up during Saturday’s victory over Brighton.

from liverpoolecho

To be honest, he missed another one in the penalty shootout vs Galatasaray in the Super Cup Final.

Hardly propaganda - the full truth of where you actually sit in the general scheme of European football has been told by Bayern - I’m looking forward to you getting smashed again on Wednesday.

Tosun sacrificed cl to play for Everton and the epl - think about that - for him it’s a dream come true
dude do you know cenk’s transfer fee is the top record value of entire turkish football? you know we are poor, right? also if its all about running away from wank turkish league he would be playing for cyrstal palace. Basically he found his value after proving his worth, and came to everton for show himself in epl.
Also remember how you invent this argument. You said cenk was crap because he has no talent, he is just a worthless player who shined in a worthless league. You tought turkish league is same as china katar or america. whenever we said cenk will shine in right tactical structure, you denied it and just act like everything came from turkey is crap.
But manager of besiktas, senol gunes made cenk a worthy player and a scorer in cl and epl, made dead mario gomez go back to german national team and today talisca qualified for brazil national team. he can shine forward players. cenk is one of them.
so your league is top 3 in the world, and ur rich as f***, but if everton plays that bad, its because of fat sam, not because you transfered a decent player came from a “3rd world country”

Oh god is the Cenk Tosun war still rumbling on? It's an epic battle encompassing Turks, Scousers, the Turkish League, Gomez, Gomis, Bayern Munich, the EPL, Fat Sam's loser tactics, and Grand Old Team.

It's bigger and bloodier than World War 1 and less sophisticated. Dig deep in the trenches folks...

Haha indeed. How can few from both sides getting offended this easily beyond me. He is scoring, delivering, doing his job. 2 in 2 and more to come until summer and next years, so what the hell is wrong with them?

Enough with Besiktas or Turkish League talk already. He is Everton'a property now, you can only wish him luck. About Big Sam? Believe me Blues here criticize him more than anybody could. The curses and funny insults (deservedly) towards the guy is unique. Telling them the obvious with a bossing/antipathetical tone is not gonna work.

Me, I am being positive here but no doubt what I have to say will not please all.

We have Tosun, Vlasic, DCL, Walcott, Niasse, is our forward line really sorted out now? Do we need another striker? Mind there is also Lookman to return and a couple of very promising young guns.

Ah, I think it's pretty normal for this forum to be fair. Check out the Leighton Baines thread for example. Cenk T has unfortunately been the victim of a frustrating season and a couple of summer signings being huge flops. Any irritation is probably aimed at the club than the player. I'm hoping he keeps up his good form.

We do need another proven striker, we desperately need pace.

I wouldn't spend a wedge on that area though, 10/15m max but we could do with sheer pace as an option.

I don't think our forward line is as bad as we thought, I don't see much ins/outs in that department. We need to spend big on a real box to box ball winner, and a conquering center half.

Tosun, *New Striker*, DCL and Niasse are fine as our 4 striking options.

Add to that the 'wide men' who play as inverted strikers anyway in Walcott, Sigurdsson, Vlasic, Bolasie and the returning Lookman we don't lack options.
