Nah not writing him off as a footballer. In fact in the right system he'll do well, that being a system which can accommdate a penalty box striker where loads of other players around do the leg work.

The problem is that he is the completely wrong option for a deep lying hoofball system that is over reliant on an athletic channel running striker to both hold the ball and stretch the defence. I think Calvert-Lewin is the best striker suited to the system, albeit he is definitely not the best striker we have. Tosun may well be the best striker we have but is not suited at all to the archaic tactics.

He actually missed it with his head and it hit his shoulder. That should be his bread and butter. Such a feeble effort. Lack of pace certainly ain't any excuse for that.

Tosun needs a run of games before we can be judged. The service he received again was non-existent. Said before Messi would struggle in our team

I can watch a player and within seconds know if they are good or not. I took 0.02 seconds and knew that this guy supposedly scoring CL goals is gash and not fit for the championship

We looked noticeably worse when Niasse came off and this carthorse came on.

Thankfully by the time Tosun came on I had lost interest so I missed most of what he did. I assume he did more than I remembered.

I eventually got bored watching Watford pass around us like they had an extra man and us hoofing it back to them.
