Alcaraz was a shocking signing just like Kone -- I was proper slagged off when I said this at the time of them joining.
We have Stones who is class and will soon be top class with more experience. Browning is currently an unknown quantity and I suppose Duffy is as well as neither have played under Martinez system.
Jagielka as captain and international centre back would be the one to assist bringing these players through to fulfill their potential -- although Stones is already doing pretty well for themself!!
Distin and Alcaraz, well Alcaraz only has a year on contract and should be let go this summer anyway. Distin may have a season or two left but its impossible to tell.
I suppose really any new signings depend on Jags/Stones/Distin performing for another season + a young player coming through. Also if a top prospect like lascalles becomes available it would be prudent to go in for him.
