Player Valuation: £500k
If Boro are prepared to let Lee Cattermole go. Sign him now !
He's a very decent player who needs to get away from his mates in Middlesboro, then you will see a real improvement in his game if he can leave the ale behind. If anyone can straighten him out Im sure Moysey can.
Lee Carsleys long term replacement. Hopefully

Well coming to everton an the city of L'pool aint going to help!!

Plus im sure shandy would take him under his wing.

Hopefully were after a better standard of player than him.

Im actually a big Catamole fan, i would have him here in a shot, only 20, loads of room for development and hes a terrifc player now, also has European and International expierence.

A future international in my opinion would be made up we got, dont think Boro would be mad enough to let him go.

Dindnt know he had problems with the drink!

He'd be a good squad player. Someone who we can develop and have for an option on the bench. I wouldn't want him as Carsley's replacement though. He's not good enough and lacks the experience.

Y is everyone saying we shud be after a better quality than sumone like cattermole when realistically he is the only type of player we can get/afford and we need numbers more than quality at the mo.

Depends which way you look at it Roy. Lets be honest, Cattermole isnt all that - we should be looking at buying players that are better than what we have in the first team at the moment so those players (Osman etc) become squad players or cover. Unless they place ace in which case theyre right back in the starting 11.

Isnt there meant to be more subs next season on the bench? In which case we will have numbers and more opportunities for youngsters to get some playing time in.

And you know this how? No one knows how much money we've got.

Cattermole would be a squad player here. I'd rather get better players in to be honest. Players who are going to improve the first eleven.

Yes we need better quality but we also need too just add numbers too the squad thats been are downfall the last few years.
Yer its 7 subs this season isnt it so a gud chance too have a couple of youngsters on the bench.

Who have we got to fill Carsleys boots???

Something is better than nothing!!!!

We still haven't bought anyone yet. Moyes is obviously weighing us his options and looking for the best player possible.

There no point just buying someone for the sake of it. It's an important position that needs filling with the right player.

I don't mind him, he's decent. He still needs experience and from what I'm hearing to get off the drink. The best place for him: MLS where he's not old enough to drink yet (except TFC).

I think hes a class act somewhat shocked by peoples reaction, hes going to be a great player, remember when noone would touch Bentley before he went to Blackburn.

I don't think he's going to be a great player to be honest. I speak to Boro fans who say he's declined alot and isn't as got as they thought he was.

Saying that though his is talented. No question about it and he has good battling qualities. He'd be a good player to nurture. To be honest though I'd rather have O'Hara or Mark Noble. I think they are better to be honest.
