Player Valuation: £750k
Wasn't his biggest fan to be honest, but !!!!!!

would we have lost our first two home games against the likes of blackburn and pompey if he was still at goodison with him roaming in front of the 18yd box ??

suppose my question is, would he have been worth keeping on a 2 year deal as a squad player ?

i know i'd rather see him in midfield instead of jagielka anyday of the week :(

I loved his service to Everton as well.

I'll never forget what some said when he joined.

"The last two clubs Carsley was a member of were relegated..."

Turns out he was a vital part of the team.

I think the Birmingham deal was in his best interest due to family considerations. We could have offered a better deal but family came first for him, and rightfully so.

I wish him all the best and hope we face them next year...

...in the Premiership (for those of you who were thinking something else.)

He wanted off so we had to let him go regardless. Wasnt a big fan of his but he sank the RS once so that puts him up there I spose.

We really understand now what he meant to our back four. They have been attroacious this yield to put it bluntly. I was always a fan he was a blue collar worker with little trouble. He just busted everything up and got stuck in. Made the back four clean up and was the main cog solidifing the defense.

Considering all the clubs he's played for he still calls Everton "We..."

If anything proves how valuable his type of player is, see Gerrard's performance the other night.
Lee wouldn't have left Baines so exposed.

Once he'd found his niche with us he was brilliant.

Let's hope GB comes back for more as this position is so vital to the way we play.
