I haven't had to buy carpets for a few years.
The last time I did, I didn't have pets.

So a genuine question for the lads and ladies on GOT...

Any suggestions for pet friendly/stain resistant carpets?
Types, brands, woven, tuft, etc etc

Genuine recommendations.

Like most people I am looking at easy vacuum for pet hair, resistant to pet accidents, durability.

I was going to ask on mumsnet, but apparently we are all barred over there.

Not a wum.

We use a young Bulgarian lad, who`s got his own firm, based in Crosby.

He`s the much better than any of the big places, cheaper, uses better quality stuff like, underlay and grips and he`s a top lad too.

The best stain resistant carpet is called lino, and can be sourced at most reputable carpet shops.

I would say don’t get a looped pile, as these will unravel when your pet gets a claw caught in them. Don’t get a wool carpet, get a made fabric that can be easily cleaned. Don’t get a flat Color or stripes, get a fleck, these hide the marks better. Good luck

Purchase a cheap carpet then sprinkle liberally with sawdust.

Have you tried sawdust?

We have two dogs - mostly in the kitchen , and two cats, who go outside, but like to bring furry animals in to slaughter. Recently had Westex Velvet in Cider laid down in living room. The blood and guts clean off really well with Rug Doctor spray. And mud and dust walked in from the kitchen vaccums up well. Really truly.
