You sacked him last week when he Lost to Fulham at home I'm afraid lol

This.

I honestly could give some credence to the criticism of Ancelotti if it just focused on the stuff he did wrong, and he has done plenty of that recently.

This phenomenon though of just bringing up whichever flavour of the month team or manager as a viable alternative is so tiresome. Ancelotti gained a point on Nuno, Bielsa, Bilic, Moyes, Wilder, yet these are all blokes that at some point or another someone is saying ‘look at how well they’ve got their team playing in comparison to Ancelotti’, it’s absolutely tiresome. Let’s get Hodgson in because Palace scored five away from home and Zaha and Townsend have loads of pace, he must know what he’s doing.

If you are in the Ancelotti out camp at least put forward a better name than some of those that have been so far. Some of these managers have been with their teams for years, they’ve got entire squads of their own players and they’re still utterly bang average yet some people want them in? If Brendan Rodgers can’t take that Leicester team any higher than 5th after a few seasons with them with Vardy at his peak then why does anyone think he’ll take a far worse squad at Everton where we want to go? Why will Nuno do anything better with us when he can’t progress Wolves out of mid table? For some of these managers this is the best their team will get and it’s barely better than what Ancelotti has provided after a far shorter time period.

Ancelotti literally has the league’s leading goal scorer and is 9thlol

He doesn’t have a squad to go with it though that won a title not that long ago and has recruited very well ever since. Rodgers has multiple players for every position who can come in and do a job. He has selection choices all over the field. He has a top goalkeeper. Carlo has about 5 decent players then he is selecting from players that other premier league teams wouldn’t take.

Rodgers would be a complete and utter train wreck with this squad.

There's a lot of frustration right now and understandably so. We're a year in and we don't look any better. After such a good start, the mistakes from a management perspective all seemed a bit bizarre from the Olsen/Pickford debacle, the team selection at Newcastle. At the time, the comments were "bad week for Ancelotti, lets move on" But they seem to have continued with some odd team selections, rotations of centre halves, his refusal to play like for like in positions. My main issue is that he seems to put a huge emphasis on training for team selections, he consistently brings this up as reasons why players are in the team. That's all well and good but I'd like to know what they are actually doing in training because we are not seeing any progress on match day. Training should be there to develop patterns of play and solidity at the back, things we lack. Digne injured is a blow. He's fast, overlaps and is an attacking threat - Nkonkou looks like he has similar attributes. If players are used to Digne being there, why don't we just bring a like for like him and keep the same shape/continuity within the team?
Surely that makes more sense? All of a sudden, Richarlison is less of a threat, James doesnt have the same options and we are slower down that side. He did a similar thing with Gordon when RIcharlison got suspended. These two things are really, really poor and we can all see it. I certainly do not want any more upheaval, Im desperate for Ancelotti to be the guy, but these decisions are baffling.
He's signed four players who have all walked straight into the first team and are playing every week. He's also got one of the top scorers in the Premier League, England's keeper he sticks up for and Richarlison. He's also had Digne available all season except two games. So lets not make out he's got some sort of squad that should be lingering in the mid to bottom half of the table. The poor Walsh players are now getting very limited time. No one made out we needed 11 new players when Carlo came in to make us beat the likes of Burnley and at some point he needs to take responsibility for not having improved us over a 12 month period.

5 Decent players? He's signed four. Im fairly sure during his tenure he has also offered Michael Keane a 5 yr contract. Backed JP to the hilt - even deciding against a new number one, he just decided a back up was sufficient. He also has the top scorer, Richarlison and Luca Digne. That's 8 players out of 11.

If ancelotti said I want James and brands gets him for free, or 50 million doucoure for half price as two examples then surely that's dof and manager working in tandem? One identifies Ayers and the other does boss business to get them here.

Reminds me a little of the arsenal issue. David dein was the opposite but it translated to success. Wenger wanted a player for a price and dien went and bought player at the price the selling club wanted. Meant Wenger got his player that time showed afterwards , wouldn't have worked sticking to a limit.

Point of that story is that if brands is the same but getting said player for less than the asking price then that's bloody good business in my eyes.

There’s an Ancelotti out camp?! FFS

I think carlo will always go with experience over youth. He has 5 players in our squad who form the basis of a team. Digne, Alan, James, Richi and DCL. We are the 5th top scores in the league so we know where the problems lie. He needs another 2 to 3 transfer windows to shape his own team. In the meantime we can only hope to for a good cup run and try to push for a europa spot.

Aye I can’t disagree with that, mad how folk bring them into everything tbh

exactly mate. Carlo right now isn’t doing himself any favours with odd team selections in the full back slots more so. But he’s been here 5 mins and had one good window of HIS own players he wants. He needs more and more time sacking him as we’re in a rut doesnt fix a thing.

Apart from 3 lads he's still got the same tripe that everyone said was rubbish and needed shifting. Still a lot of work to do, a few other managers have suffered by a few of these players so it wasn't going to change over night.
